In 2009, the U.S. Children’s Bureau created the National Quality Improvement Center (Center) on the Representation of Children in the Child Welfare System (QIC-ChildRep) at the University of Michigan Law School.  After engaging in a nationwide assessment of the state of Child representation, the Center created its QIP-ChildRep Best Practices Model Training.

Crossroads For Florida Kids pro bono attorneys represent children in their dependency proceedings, and also serve as attorneys ad litem for children who are not in foster care who have delinquency charges.  All of the children we represent are poor and thus eligible for services delivered by Florida’s child welfare system.
