Crossroads for Florida Kids is pleased to announce attorney Maria Pavlidis as the new Executive Director of the Organization.
Ms. Pavlidis has dedicated her career to the zealous advocacy of people facing charges in the criminal justice system. Ms. Pavlidis has extensive experience advocating for juveniles and adults in the delinquency and adult criminal justice system and has also worked in the dependency system for years. Ms. Pavlidis is a highly skilled and knowledgeable trial attorney who has approximately twenty years of experience handling complex criminal matters. She has provided mentoring and training to other attorneys and has presented CLE courses in criminal law and advocacy skills
In 2019, Ms. Pavlidis received the James H. Kynes Memorial in the Trenches Award from the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Trial and Litigation Section, for excellence in criminal litigation. Additionally in 2009 and 2011, Ms. Pavlidis was chosen by her peers and supervisors at the Public Defender’s Office with the honor of the Attorney of the Year Award, Major Crimes Bureau. Ms. Pavlidis is a board-certified criminal trial attorney and has been a long time Crossroads attorney.
